hmmmm i might go this route. I was think just getting some pro kit springs as i know some peps had no probs with speed bumps with them. but i wonder if the stock si struts and pro kit sprigs would up the performance or make it worse

^i would bet worse. This kit comes w/ the struts and springs. The springs are designed to go with the struts. If you just use the struts then, as far as the struts being compatible, it would defeat the purpose of this mod.

has anyone tried this? the sedan HFP suspension on a coupe?

my biggest thing against getting this is i want more of a drop. im getting some RSX Type-S rims and i want it to look smooth. but i also dont want the car to handle like crap bc i like driving on windy roads more than going fast and straight.

my other consideration is Sportlines with Skunk2 shocks... what do you guys think? im fairly new to this all

Colleghills Honda - HFP Susp. for SI
$612 + $150 (approx s&h)= $762; not sure what Cdn customs, but say $200, so in all $1000

Honda Dealers in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)
Alberta Honda - $1400 not incl install
Millwoods Honda - $1400 not incl install
Sherwood Park Honda - $1300 not incl install

I had the HFP suspension on my manual LX coupe.
Later sold it to a auto LX coupe.

The HFP suspension is very nice.
Pros: It definetly handles better with the HFP suspension.
Good ground clearance.
Actually quieter than my oem suspension.

Cons: Compromised too much comfort for a little increase in handling for those with 18" wheels. 225/40/18.
- The drop is only 0.8". Trust me.

My recomendation: Dont get 18" wheels with the HFP suspension!
IMO you're best off with 17"x7.5" wheels with 225/45/17 tires, and a 22mm Progress rear anti-sway bar. (For non-Si's upgrade the front sway bar to the oem Si sedan 27mm bar)

My car really did not handle better with 18" tires when compared to 17" tires.
18"x7.5" Volk TE37's with Toyo Proxie 4 tires vs. 17" TSX rims with 225/45/17 generic tires.

I currently have Tein SS coilovers with 225/40/18 tires. 22mm Progress rear anti-sway bar and 27mm oem Si sedan front anti-sway bar.

the hfp suspension WILL outhandle the tein SS.

btw the oem vs hfp suspension is not even a comparison. the oem suspension is THAT BAD.
