hfp shocks and struts w/ eibach pro kit
searched around for this but found nothing...
wondering if any body knew if the hfp shocks and struts would hold up with the eibach pro kit springs? since the drops are close i would think the hfp shocks and struts are stiffer than the oem one they should hold up better to pro kit. was thinking about tein h techs too but they are almost the same as the hfp springs and the pro kit just givgs a little bit more. anyone care to share their thoughts/ideas... |

I didn't know you could order the struts sans the whole assembly. DO you have part numbers? I just ordered the entire hfp suspension last week. I used to have tokico and pro-kit on my ep3 and loved it... sounds like hfp is about the same. The price was better on hfp and warratny for the win! (paid 550ish shipped for hfp)

I had KYB AGX's and Pro Kit on my 99si and loved it, had Tein coils on my Evo and hated it. Hoping for a ride more like my 99 Si! BTW, where did you get the HFPs for that price...PM me if you want. |

i got my hfp suspension for 560 shipped from flagstaff honda last may way before tre_ on h-t did the special pricing on our accessories, and 600 at college hills honda. i was going to buy both the hfp suspension and pro kit springs but im going to wait til late spring before i make any moves. if nothing comes by may or so this year i will be getting the hfp suspension then some aftermarket struts/shocks with the eibach pro-kit later.

Try the HFP suspension the way it is first, natuarally. Then exchange the HFP springs with the Eibach ones, and see how the car handles. All 4 springs or just the rear ones? You wanted to replace all of the springs on the HFP coil- overs or just the rear. I understand a lot of us want more of a drop but don't do it just for looks. Try it out and if it handles better, then go for it. Don't forget when you finish, we would like to see pics!

the hfp suspension arent coilovers, just a new stiffer spring/shocks/struts set up. as for replacing the springs if i get the hfp suspension i would replace the fornts and rears with the eibach pro kit springs. yes i do want more of a drop the reason why i want the pro kit, but i also want aftermarket shocks/struts that would work together like the hfp set up and that would hold up better than the oem stuff.

Im really disappointed in how much the HFP dropped my car. Im really looking into buying new springs, but still unsure about the shocks. Will my HFP shocks be able to handle the Pro-Kit or S Techs without wearing out in a year!?
