huge problem help!!!

ok heres the thing wen i first started driving my ex i loved the breaks id jus tap it and itll b smooth and work good now like 2 months later i have to hit it so hard to get it to stops and it jerks so much wht should i do should i go get it checked i mean its really annoying.

help me please
