What's the air compressor for - the springs? Isn't the spring clamp usually mechanical/a vice-looking thing?

Which air compressor? But yes, a spring compressor is mechanical... you have to be careful with them because when you compress the spring, you're dealing with a ton of potential energy... if the spring were to let loose, you would probably find yourself with a spring or a compressor inserted into miscellaneous body parts

$420 with springs and alignment. Too much, car pulls to the right, and my front struts make hella noise.

That means they botched the alignment. Go back and make them do it again. I ended up getting into a big argument with the guy that did mine after I installed my Pro-kit because he put zero camber on the back wheels and then kept insisting that zero camber in the back is the way every car is supposed to be. I kept telling him that I wanted STOCK camber values, but he kept saying that negative camber is for "race applications only". I argued with him until he finally relented and did it properly.

It's 100 times easier to remove the nut holding the strut bracket to the strut with an impact gun vs. a ratchet and vice grips...
Sold my air compressor last year it was a b*tch doing it without it

Megan installed mine for free. $$ Going back to them later this week so they can do some adjustments to the rear.

omfg... i wish it was only 100 here..
i've been quoted a good $440, they say its like an hour per side at $85 or $95 per hour.
so i havent done it yet.
and yeah rear cambers are more than the springs themselves... -_-

I was quoted $275 for full front and back coilovers (I know backs are not coil overs, they are coil next to's) and $90 for alignment. $100 for alignment with camber kit.

Great shop in Hayward CA called Motorsport Techniques. Best wheel balance (Hunter GSP 9700) and laser alignment in the area. Lots of SCCA guys use this shop, and their rates are reasonable at $80/hr.

Little bit of blood, lots of sweat (it was 90 degrees), a lot of cuss words, a lot more cuss words, thats about it. Unless price of tools counts.
