Rack and pinion

I got 16k on my car and the rack is jacked up.. I can feel it popping when turning.. I also lifted it up on my alignment rack and can feel the popping in the rack.. I have my intake tapped for nitrous.. Should I put stock intake back on.. ? Or should I leave it? It should be covers under warranty..

Hey man, glad to hear that i am not the only one to have this problem. I am also set up for nitrous with after market fuelrail, header and intake and did not want to go to the dealership.

I spent 4 hours a few nights ago to fix this "popping" sounds and was amazed at the cause of the problem.

If you jack your car up and take a look at the rack:

- There are 2 "C" shaped clamps with a "C" shaped rubber grommets that bolt down on the front of the rack, go over the rack and bolt down on the rear side.

- When i put a wrench on the driver side bracket, it snugged up then the bolt popped, free'd up and i then tightened it down all the way....

I recommend you check and make sure both bolts on each clamp a completely tight. (don't be scared to wrench on them)

These are bolts that I or anyone else besides the honda factory have ever touched, since i bought the car new in 2008. Make's me question if this is a problem from honda?

Have any other questions? let me know, but this has completely correct the "popping" sound coming from the rack in my car.

I kno this is a old ass thread revival but I went to Honda today for the second time, first they thought my poping noise was my hfp suspension & didn't wanna do nothing bout it. I talked to a different guy today and it ended up being my rack and pinion bolts needed to be tighten. Just for anyone that mite have this loping noise when they turn
