Rear Lower Tie Brace Bar 06 civic... ebay

Have any of you guys seen this on ebay? I emailed the seller and he/she said it goes on the back of the car. Is this better than the progressive sway bar or is it a whole different setup? I might get it since its only about $30.

Any suggestions?

i would say go for it and get it...only $30. be the first to install it and let the rest of us know what you think and how the bar fits. if it does not fit, then you are only out $30!!

I wouldn't trust a no name product on my car... especially off eBay and for only $30.

Usually, an ebay part like this is Junk. Endplates are usually really flimsy and you can visually bend these bars by hand so they won't really resist flex or strengthen any area of the car - if you're after a purely visual upgrade then you can't go wrong but if you're after a piece that has some function you should stay away.

Ever see most dirt cheap ebay strut bars out there? The endplates are usually just tack welded and can be broken by hand - just think, if they are selling for $30 a piece imagine how much it costs to produce...

Rear lower tie bars from GT Spec are coming at very affordable prices and I'm sure DC Sports and the like will have their own pieces for the FG in time.

The Rear lower tie bar has been designed to reduce chassis flex to improve steering response and stability. Super-lightweight, easy bolt on installation. Each strut bar is made with polished lightweight aluminum to reduce weight while end brackets (tower mounts) are made in premium steel for added strength and powder coat to eliminate corrosion. No suspension upgrade will be completed without this STRUT TOWER BAR. 100% Brand new.
It's called both a lower tie bar AND a strut tower bar. The bar also looks cheaply made. Sounds to me like the seller is either untrustworthy or is selling an inferior product.

I would go for the megan racing rear lower bar. I just put one on my car. I feel a slight difference, but once I get my larger sway bar on it should make a lot bigger difference.

I've tried this same rear lower tie bar on my 94 Mitsubishi Mirage. It made a big difference. The car felt like it drove straighter down the road, not so flimsy in the back...but then again the Mirage had a fully independent suspension, so yeah thats why it made a difference.
I too, thought about getting this from ebay. I would, however, prefer a fixed bar that wasn't adjustable. The cool thing with our Civic's are that that plastic rear cover under the car would block your view of the bar, so you wouldn't be able to visually locate it without taking off the plastic cover which makes the car more areodynamic.
In the end based on my previous experience with this rear lower tie bar I would probably buy it again.
