Yes, I AM A WOMAN!
Tein EDFC vs. BC ??

So I have a friend of mine with some Tein Driving Spec Control Master coilovers with the EDFC. He had them on the car for maybe 10k miles tops and did a few track days. It was a nice set-up. He wants $1350 for them. I may be able to talk him down a little, but not likely much.

I did a little search and BC coilovers seem to be getting good reviews and I can get them new for $1000. Some are going used on this board for $800.

Obviously I'd love to save some money, but which is better? Is the EDFC really worth that much?

Opinions?

EDIT: I'd like the ride height adjustable for winter. I plan to ride mostly on the street, but I will be doing a lot of track days in the summer. This is my daily driver, so it has to do everything, but I'm willing to compromise a little for better track performance.

me and my bro were at central florida racing complex sunday for the road course. he has tein flex with full suspension and hp+ hawk pads. i have skunk2 pro coilovers with full suspension and hawk hp+. we were going fullout and i dont mean like how some people say i was "hitting the track hard" i mean 7-8200 redline the whole time. every time we come in to the pits our rotors we on fire haha. hes a monster driver and i was able to catch him in all the corners he went for a ride with me in my car and will tell you that my suspension was more then enough for the track. i do love his tein flexs and will put them on my other car but i would save the money especially since most of the people who tell you to get the tein over say b.c. or skunk 2 are bandwagon riders who dont really track the car...not all just most ...if your serious about tracking and were really worried about which would be best you would get penske's or redshift go with the b.c. they will give you all the fun and looks you can want

The EDFC doesn't work on the ride height, it adjusts the dampening force (softer/stiffer) of the coilovers. You would adjust the height the same way as you would with the Buddy Clubs: Manually. The EDFC is kind of cool, but it's an utter waste of money in all reality. To adjust the dampening force without it, all you have to do is twist some little knobs.

I tried to read your post about three times before I finally gave up. Please learn how to use punctuation. It will make reading your future posts a lot more tolerable.

Thanks for the input. I'm gonna go with some coilovers from Buddy Club, Tein or maybe Skunk... I don't need the EDFC. Was just looking for some others' opinions.

I just really need to be able to adjust ride height -- I don't care much for dampening as I'll just find a decent setting and leave it whether on or off track.

Thanks!
