hey i just need to ask a quick question i been reading all over the place bout springs and stuff and gettin no where the eibach sports and tein stech, i herd people had the sports for a long time and had nothin rong with them and their drop looks alot lower than the stech so that means more stress on the stock struts right? but then so called the eibach or made for stock struts and also i herd the stech was softer so it stays real close to the stock struts none of this makes any sense but im gettin no where which one better for stock struts but get that drop which one yall perfer thx for all the people that help owt shout owt to yall si brotherZ

whicever you choose is fine... eibach for lower drop (1.4" front & rear) or stech (1.14" front & .93 rear) for closer to stock ride.

but one thing is for sure, its gonna wear your shocks faster coz you're pairing a progressive spring to a stock shock.

my guy at the dealer told me its ok to pair a lowering spring w/ stock shock for now since the shocks are new and can still tolerate the progressive spring. but then i'll have to replace it in 6-7 months coz he said he's pretty much sure by that time its already worn out.

my advice: go with eibach for a lower drop. i've seen people w/ stech and it looks like a stock ride (no offense to stech-ers) and while you enjoying your eibach i suggest save some money for full coilovers in the future or maybe just the aftermarket shocks (it's still under development as of today)

Sorry buddy, but you are wrong. The S-Techs for the Si drop it 1.4" in the front and 1.3" in the back. Rep for me.

To the OP: Go with the Tein S-Techs. You will not be disappointed. They are amazing.

Actually both of you are wrong i got the s techs put on last week and the front is 1.54 and the back is 1.42 look on corsports website. Any how i love the s tech it is a good drop not to low so that you scrape the crap out of the bottom of your car. No squeeking at all and there only $180 next day shipping. The eibach are good but expensive and to low = Ricey look which i personally dont like i am for my s techs.

How can you say the Eibachs are too low. The S techs are 1.54 front and 1.42 rear. The sportlines are 1.4 all the way around. and the Eibach prokit is 1.0 frot and 1.2 rear. S techs are lower than Eibachs Sportlines

Wrong - progressive rate springs are 100% fine for stock struts. Eibach pro-kits and sportlines are both designed for use with stock struts. Progressive rate springs firm up when under load during cornering...this is why progressive rate springs are generally preferred for street use since they maintain near-stock ride quality yet are stiff enough for the drop they provide.

Many OEM springs are progressively wound.

For a track car, linear springs can be a better choice for consistency...

thats why they are called "progressive" guys, they get progressivly stiffer. THe best way to identify a progressive springs is by its conical(cone like) shape.

You won't rub if you choose the right size tire. I guarantee no rubbing if you use 225/40/18...

Your car will look great with sportlines, 18's and 225/40/18 tires!

We still have a special going on for Eibach sportlines and pro-kits - we chose sportlines for our own SI and absolutely love them!

$225.00 SHIPPED - order at the link below!
