I've thought about doing this to calipers on numerous cars. My gut feeling while STILL considering doing it (my SI is habby red) is that it's borderline rice. I think if Brembo or Wilwood or any other company never made sweet looking "big brake" kits, (esp. Brembo), then people probably wouldn't do this as much. My earliest recollection of seeing brake calipers that 'were cool' were noticing it on Porsches. And it remains sweet, as does seeing the track models 350Z and G35's equipped with the Brembos. But what i think it boils down to, is that painted calipers replicate brake kits. It's a tough sell...it's nowhere near as ricey as fake hood scoops, M3 fenders, or lit exhaust tips. In fact, if I could come up with a word that means "not quite ricey but questionable, I'd put it here __________.

Red doesnt=brembo.... just because you paint them a different color, doesnt mean that you are trying to make people believe you have brembo's.. Now if you mark them as brembo, thats a different storry... But you people need to chill with the rice bullshit...
Painting the calipers gives a nice accent to the the wheels and car..

No one said they were painting their calipers to make them look like brembos? Not all stock red calipers are brembos. GTIs come with red calipers stock. It's just one's opinion. Does everyone who puts an evo wing on a lancer want to make everyone think they have an evo? No, but I wouldn't do it.

HOw do you all feel about G2 paint fro Tirerack compared to Duplicolor from Prp Boys. The G2 comes with a hardening solvent I believe and the duplicolor does not. I don't mine to look ***. I use Foliatec on my integra about 10 year a go. Help up GRIzzzATE but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where you can by (at a store Foliatec or G2? Does G2 get stocked at Pep Boys?
