would this void warranty

Sorry for another "would this void warranty" but I'm seeing mixed results.

Just a note to all your people that are going to chime in with "Magnusson-Moss", that doesn't apply to Canada.

I've never heard of anyone having any warranty issues from painting your calipers.. can't really blame a blown tranny on cosmetic paint.

What colour are you going to paint them?

I meant to say if it would void the warranty on the brakes, not the whole car lol.

In most cases, wear and tear parts like brakes are not covered under the warranty anyway.

They might argue a frozen caliper but that would be it

^ I know maybe it's been done a thousand times, but you don't live in Canada, and a little town of 90,000 like mine, there's only one 06/07 White Si. MINE.

Love,
Si_CiViC.

Exactly. I am not even worried about having a white one because only two (one being mine) are being sold within the next 8 months at my dealership. The other one is owned by a lady 200 miles away :)

I want red calipers damnit! It will go good with my drilled and slotted rotors.

To funny. I have already done mine. I love them. After I finish a few other mods I will get cross drilled rotors to finish everything out. I also bought the white Honda caliper decal on ebay.

Will aftermarket parts void my warranty?

according to procivic.com:

"Fortunately, not in most circumstances. Under Federal Law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 to be specific) it is illegal for a dealer to deny you warranty coverage just because you installed an aftermarket part. To deny warranty, the dealer must prove the part to be the root of the specific problem you are requesting warranty for. Even then, they can only deny warranty for that specific problem, not for your whole car. Because aftermarket parts meet or exceed original equipment specifications, this normally only happens when the aftermarket part is improperly installed.

It is no secret that Honda itself wants to see the aftermarket succeed. Honda spends a lot of money promoting how their vehicles can be customized and upgraded. It is usually when a part is improperly installed or deliberately misused that warranties get denied. Just make sure to get a quality installation (or if you do it yourself, use all the correct tools and follow the directions) and you should have no problems".
