Just want to see how many of you did this...

I know there are a million post about the "front bump stops" and how manufactures like Tein and Eibach recommend to cut them but how about the rears?

So my question is this...

How many of you that have lowered 8th gen Si's have your front bump stops only or front and rear bump stops cut? Does anyone know if manufactures such as Tein and Eibach recommend for both front and rear to be cut or just the front?

all cutting bump stop does is allow for extra struts/shock travel for a better ride quality.
however, your struts/shocks are not to be to be compressed so much, it'll lead to pre-mature wear. Also, it is likely you'll rub

i didn't cut mine.

Bump stops acts as a secondary spring. Cutting it may give you more compression travel but if you hit a bump it may bottom out a lot harsher compared to an uncut bump stop. Also one thing to consider is binding that may occur on the suspension if you allowed it to compress too much.

Here is some good read about bump stops.

What kind of springs are you using and how is the ride when you go over bigger bumps?

So... from reading that are we to believe that we shouldn't trim down our bump stops when installing lowering springs? So if we cut them the ride will be more comfortable but the shocks will blow a lot faster.... is this correct?

"the car is resting just above its bump stops at its ride height. Any bump the car hits- or even the weight of the driver- will engage the bump stops."

That is ridiculous! I'd be removing those bumpers pronto and getting some properly stiff springs.
