break-in on new pads?

Sup guys, I just installed a set of axxis ULT pads and I just want to double check if I broke them in properly, Its been a few years since my last set of these. I did a few hard stops from consecutively higher speeds; 25, 35, 45 mph...am I good to go or should I go faster and stomp on them...like 60+ mph?

i follow the steps you listed then lock up the brakes from about 45 2 or 3 times. let them cool for about 30 minutes, then good to go.

You can smell them when they are bedded.

id go a step further and say you know you properly bedded them in when you see even distribution of brake pad material on the rotors. finally they say dont let your car sit or rather dont press on the brakes when you finish bedding them. drive around for a few minutes to let them cool off completely.

agree*

However, id venture to say that the rules for breaking pads in differs from company to company. I know by experience that my break pads do, in fact, need to be broken in a specific way or else they will not preform correctly.

However, thats with my carbon kevlar track pads. I am assuming your pads are street pads. So its a different compound. If I were you, I would call the company that made your pad, and ask them directly. I would say thats the best thing to do.
