2nd mod complete, HFP suspension installed!

So after a week of sitting here in my apt., laughing at me, it's finally installed. You're now looking at another satisfied customer of the HFP suspension kit!

Drove up to College Hills Honda for the install and noticed a huge difference driving away. The car feels so much smoother and tighter and definitely more stable on the highway. You can already see the drop, although the rear passenger side is almost at the same height as stock. Hope it all settles down by next week. Anyways, on with some pics!

I'll be sure to update in a week once they set.

Yup, had an alignment after it was installed.

Granted I haven't run Skunk2's or Teins or anything like that, so I can't compare against other suspensions, but the HFP is really nice over stock that's for sure. There's less bounce when going over bumps. I've noticed that bumps that would usually make the car go up, then down and then back to normal height are now just a quick bump with no body motion. It feels like the car is more a part of the road, instead of the car feeling like it's attached to a suspension attached to the road. Less body roll in the curves also. I back off now because i feel the tires leaning too much, not the car.

I also noticed a big difference on the highway. There's less "float" in the ass end when changing lanes or on those long sweeping turns when changing highways. And like I was saying above, when you go over the bumps of an overpass, there's no bouncing, just a hop up then a hop off. I'm sure this will be very nice when driving in the rain or snow.

Highly recommended if you're looking for an easy, inexpensive and warranty included suspension kit. If you're looking for a big drop though, you might want to look elsewhere. But something to consider if you're planning on upgrading to 18" wheels like myself. With only a .80" drop, that leaves plenty of room to play around with. You can get away with some bigger offsets that you couldn't if you were dropped 1.5"+.

Hi - so would you say the ride has improved and is actually less harsh with the HFP suspension kit installed?

By default it should be more harsh sense the suspension is stiffer. Stiffer suspension means less body roll and better performance. Loose suspension means more body roll but more forgiving when you go over bumps. Unfortunately, you can't have both.

I guess it depends on what you think harsh is. A person that is used to riding in luxury cars like big old Cadillacs would definitely call it harsh. I call it heaven.

Like maximus20895 said, the stiffer suspension = less body movement over bumps. If you open a can of soda and put it in the cup holder in the center console and went over a bump with the stock suspension, no soda would splash out. If you did this with the HFP kit, soda would splash everywhere.

Personally, I LOVE IT! I've always owned smaller cars because I hate the floaty feeling of bigger cars. I dont want to feel like im driving a couch, I want to feel connected to the road.

With labor, alignment and tax it was $300. I saved up the $450 and paid that with my debit card. Put the $300 on a credit card and will pay that off probably over the next 2 months ($150/$150).

No shots of the whole car after the drop, didn't see this till late. I'll get some pics tomorrow morning and put them up.

Why do people put something on a credit card when they can't pay it off the next month...interest is awesome..
