HELP, i hear ratteling noise from within my hood after suspension change

i just recently installed some eibach sportline sports which i am not too happy with considering my front is about 1in lower than the back. but anyways i installed them about a month ago and every time i drive over a bump or something on the road i hear ratteling noise within the hood. could my springs have good bad already. btw all my suspension on my 08 civic lx sedan is stock other than the springs i installed. a friend of mine told me i might not have tightened the bolts the hold the whole strut/brake/wheel to my car tight enough ( you know the 3 bolts that connect within the hood right under the windshield on both left and right side of the car)? any who i would appreciate any feedback on what u guys think could be the problem, plus if you guys could let me know how to fix my drop so the back is even with the front or vise versa b/c i thought this was going to be a 1.4in drop all around but its like 0 finger length in front and 1 finger length in the back.

ty

heres a pic of the drop

sorry its soo big i didnt have time to change it

uhhh no i tightened them while the car was lifted in buddies shop about 3 feet in the air. plus if that is the problem do i need to hand tighten them or use a compression air gun b/c we had to hand tighten them b/c the air compression gun would not fit.

Tighten them to torque spec..which is 33 lbs/ft I believe for the top nuts

That's exactly the problem. The weight of the car has to be on the strut when you tighten those nuts because as the car is lowered, the rest of the threads on the strut top will proceed through the holes on the vehicle strut tower. You don't need an impact gun. You can tighten them with a ratchet and socket. You just need to make sure they're tight --- not loose, not just snug, and not over-tightened.

thanks for the info guys ill tighten them tommorow after work when i get some time, btw just curious i drove about 2k miles with the suspension on for about 1 month or so, do u guys think all that driving with those loose bolts could have caused any damage to my car what so ever? hopefully not other wise i might feel bad.

Well, there's certainly the possibility that the threads on the top of the strut (where the nuts are tightened) rubbed against the vehicle's frame as it moved up and down or even side to side (what little it can).

yeah i got a alignment done, other than that i have no idea what it can be its this annoying sound as if something is broken or loose in the suspension in the front only. could it be cuz i had to cut like 1.5in off the plastic piece during in install of the springs?
