tien basic coilovers

anybody lowered on tien basics? i got them a while ago and noticed that i cant run wide wheels due to them rubbing against the spring. i was wondering if any of you guys had the same problem?

You run into inner clearance issue's with the TEINS b/c of the springs. You can call TEIN and order a different spring that would be shorter, therefore allowing room for the wheel to clear. Skunk2's don't have that problem because of the narrow and short spring they have. Adding a wheel spacer is the easiest way to get them to fit. Otherwise you need to change the spring on the coilover or buy a new coilover setup. Otherwise, a lower offset would be fine. You want the wheel to come out more toward the fender.

I have a 30 offset on a 18x9 clearing TEIN no problem

I don't have wheels yet...Tein SS coils...All I want are some 17x8...

Well I want 17's and go as wide as possible without rubbing...so 17x8.5 maybe? lol
