HFP Alignment issues?
I'm trying to be proactive about this:
I put my HFP suspension on, at the end of May. Last Friday, I had everything aligned, and my tires rotated, at Honda. All 4 corners were out of alignment, so I'm glad I took it in. However, before the alignment, the car went dead straight. I could let go of the wheel at 50-60 mph, without any drift. Now, the car is floating to the right very slightly, even though all corners are in spec. I had my girlfriend drive the car, and she noticed it also. I called Honda, and they are going to check it out. Should I be worried that I messed something up, during the HFP install? I'm just worried that they will try to swing that on me. Or is it that maybe they will make some adjustments, and that will be the end of it? |

was the alignment a dead weight alignment meening no person in the car or did you have them align with you in it. this does play a role in how the car sits and handles, I have a track alighnment, and with me and the car weight is prescise.

The OEM/spec alignment always pulls to the right unless your tire pressure is uneven. It was stated in another thread, but this is standard. Some speculate that it is done to prevent people from going into the oncoming lane if they lose consciousness or something...but I have no way of knowing if that is true or not.
If you want a specific spec or want to look at the OEM alignment, simply ask them to see it first. If there is something in the spec that you see that would make it pull to the right, have them go OEM spec minus that aspect. The shop I take it to will do whatever spec I tell them to, and will also align with me in the car if I ask. Just depends on what you want. If you don't know what you want, it's going to be pretty hard for them to provide it for you. |

^^ My car used to pull to the left, when I got it. Then I put my HFP wheels on, and it stopped... Now I have my hfp suspension, and it's pulling to the right. Regardless of pavement slope.
