front shock top nuts

What size allan wrench is needed? Also, I've read an impact gun will work to take it off? Is this 100% correct? Because on older honda's I've lowered, the impact gun wouldnt always work, the shaft would just keep spinning. And finally, is the impact gun sufficient to tighten the nuts back on?

Are you talking about the nuts that hold the whole assembly to the car? Like under the cowl?

The one nut that's on the top of the shock shaft. That holds the top hats down on the top off the spring.

Never had a problem taking off any of the top hat nuts with a impact...never use a impact to completely tighten it. I always hit the nut a couple times with the impact then install it, once its installed it won't move when you tighten it so just torque it to spec.

i had a ghetto setup to do mine but it worked very well.

it was a (whatever size socket) with a wrench welded on top of it. So now you can hold an allen wrench through the top and turn the wrench.

When I used to work at the dealer... Sometimes you could get away with just using a 3/8" impact and they wouldn't spin. But a lot of times I would use a ratcheting wrench and the allen key to tighten the nut all of the way down.
