Moving front strut bars for better slam?

Hello everyone. I am lowered on tein flex's and running 18x8 tenzo type m rims 225 tires, and I need to get an alignment...

So I called up this old honda guru who does alignments to perfection. He said something about moving the front strut bars on my 07' civic si. He says this will help me get the slam I want without any rubbing...

Has anyone heard of this before? Or something similar to this bizarre recommendation? He sounded like he knew what he was talking about and all my buddies go to him for perfect alignments on dropped cars but I still have no idea what he means. Also said there would be welding required. I'm kinda new to this so thanks for the help.

He must know nothing about our cars.

There's no "strut bar" that would hit on anything. Many many people here are running around low and no welding or modifications are needed.
A few camber bolts and you will never have to worry about rubbing with 8" rims and 225s no matter how low you are.

i just remembered this...i think this is how they used to do it on older domestic cars. when i wanted to lower my accord wagon, a mechanic suggested the same thing. welding, moving **** other places i knew wasnt a good idea. i thought he was crazy, but thats how it was done in the past. you need to go to another mechanic who is familiar with hondas and the like.

Haha yeah, on first-gen Mustangs if you wanted to lower the front end more than an inch you'd have to completely relocate the upper control arms or the suspension would bind up. However, OP, our cars require no such hacking or welding, and I'd stay the hell away from your so-called "guru."

Take a look at the dumped thread, there's plenty of people who are near scraping with nothing more than coilovers and camber arms.
