Purchased the OTS (off the shelf) KONI and did the installation of the insert myself. After that, typical spring install.

No problem Dan! It is great for what it is, surely not the end all to suspensions. Haha.

Thanks.

I will have to get back to you on the actual specs, but I think the rims were 18x8, and unsure of the tire size at the moment.

Hey Dan,

I got the KONIs when they were on super special for $500 shipped from Excelerate. I think Corsport and Excelerate are around $650 now. I got the Swift Springs from brakeoptions.com for $240 shipped.

If you don't mind only a slight increase in spring rates over stock go for them, I really enjoy them, but wish they were linear rate and stiffer. The dampers are great!

First time was 5/6 out of 10. (10 being most difficult). You may need to purchase some tools, mainly drill bits and a hack saw/ a pipe cutter if you don't have the correct sizes. Second time is about 4 out of 10. If you have access to a nice work bench, some time, do them yourself if not, contact Redshift.

KONI.

I am actually going to try my FA5 HFP springs with KONI when I locate FA5 HFP spring rates; which I am in the process of determining.

There is also a member running Tokico HTS/ D-Spec and seems to like them mated to HFP springs.

I will need some dampers soon I just don't want a harsh ride with HFP springs. I was thinking Tokico Blues would work.

Those would work too. You may notice an increase in ride quality and some decrease in performance. Although some feel the HFP is somewhat over damped so the softer valving of the Tokico HP may work good for some.

The HFP dampers will not last forever. They are very costy when not purchased in kit form.

I was curious enough to test my HFP Springs on the KONI dampers. Stay tuned for another thread comparing HFP vs. KONI/ HFP Springs vs. KONI/ Swift Springs in the next week or so.

Now that I used the HFP springs I need a spare set of FA5 HFP springs for spring load testing that I have fell behind on.

Maybe 50,000 if you drive normal, but if you track or abuse them - then less..
