Is there a way you can do a comparison between the Eibach Sportlines and the Swift Sports? I know that the Eibach Sportlines is a softer spring then Prokit (and Swift Sport but not sure) and the Sportlines is heavier then Swift Sport (and also the stock Spring as well but I don't weight them). The reason is I have Eibach Sportlines with Tokico DTS damper and I want to know will there be any advantage for me to change my springs to Swift Sports? I like the almost stock-like comfort of the combo now (the Tokico DTS damper is all the softest setting for daily-driving) but I also like to maximum the performance of my car if the ride is not too harsh. Thanks.

The Eibach Sportlines are my brothers. Although he would have no problem with me testing them I am not interested in doing so at this time. The spring rates between all three; Eibach Sportlines, Eibach Prokit and Swift Sport are pretty close. I do not want to drop the car below 1.2".

If you want to gain some performance out of your set up, set the front dampers at a lesser setting than the rear. Add a RSB. Add more negative camber in the front than the rear.

ON my KONIs I originally ran front and rear dampers at 75% full rebound and was pretty neutral handling. For greater rotation I decreased the front to about 37.5% full rebound and currently have the rear still at 75% full rebound.

Awesome write-up. Its gonna help me a lot on my decision. For the longest time I tried to decide eaither HFP or Koni w/ CT springs I already have. After reading your post I am leaning towards Koni. I will re-read your post later on again. Very very informative. One of the best review threads ever. Thank you so much.

Hey Joey

When you guys installed the rear shocks the stock dust cover hole wasn't big enough was it? I had to make the hole alittle bigger for it to fit correctly. Did you have that problem?

Start with 50/50% (F/R).

I currently have mine 37.5/75% (F/R). I did that for more rotation.

I am still playing witht the rebound forces, and will play more after alignment that is set for this week.

Yes, the KONI directions indicated that the dust cover hole needed to be enlarged from existing 10MM to 12MM.

Talking Sweet!!

Hey Joe your car looks sick! Koni is the best, good choice! I used to have koni yellows and H&R springs on my 2000 Si and I loved them. I'm sure the swift springs are better since there progressive. Nice write up..

Thanks Sean. I was wondering if you get my response to your PM. There will be more photos to follow in the next week or so.

Controlling the spring oscillations is the most important part of a suspension upgrade. Definately worth it to me.

I know,i was saying that you have to modify the suspension to make it fit, which is weird,or is this not originally made for our car but being adapted for our application?

The required work that goes along with a "bolt thru the bottom" insert such as this specific KONI application can be more indepth than some want to go. In the end you get an excellent damper though. KONI has been trying since late 2005 to get a strut stamping for the 06+ Civic, but has not been able to succeed. So they went with the insert method, which is also not only used in the Honda application, but also BMW as well. You get KONI valving, but is not plug and play like most people want. Just happens one would have to work a little bit to get excellent results. I say if you don't have the means to modify the housings yourself, I say contact Redshift as they will work with you. The internal valving of the insert is designed for 06+ civic, but the insert body itself is used for many applications as the instructions suggest if you were to purchase.

More photos/ comment to be posted mid week. Custom alignment, and new tires install. Further comment on Progress RSB combined with my suspension set-up will be posted then as well.
