Is there a rear-lower tie bar for the 06 si yet? Can't seem to find anything.

Bros,

The Honda Civic ES (pre-FD/FG) uses the same rear tie bars.....: )

In asia, we have front tie bar, lower X brace (4 point), and rear tie bar. We also have a front strut bar and even a rear strut bar. Look at ALUTEC as they are manufacturing them.

Sorry bros....I realized that there is no ES in the USDM.

Go to the summit racing site. www.summit-racing.com.tw

tie bars (the one which may fit is the FD1 and FD2. 8th gen (VIII)
http://www.summit-racing.com.tw/web6...00001282000002

My ride is the FD2 (2.0si with 155hp), which uses the same as the FD1 (1.8L sedan). Summit has a front lower tie, 4 point X brace, and the rear lower tie bar. Alutec (do a search for the website) makes aluminium lightweight chassis bars, and they too have the front strut tower bar, 4 point mid brace, and rear strut tower bar. We do not have a rear strut tower bar. We used to think it was a rear strut tower bar but really it is a chassis bar because it is not tied up to the rear strut towers.

I think you guys should ask Corsport or one of the importers to bring these tie bars in. They are so damn light. For example the rear tie bars weight less than a kilo and sells for about $60-$70 USD. Maybe one of you can try to see if it fits, then ship 20 pieces over and then re-ship to those interested. The rear lower tie is only about 1 to 1.5 feet long, and ties the two bolts on the bottom of the rears where the suspension link moves up and down.

The 4 point makes a bigger difference though...cusco is also coming out with it. They even have a cool 3 point. By the way, here is the link to our FD club forum where Pengful and I came from.

http://civicfdclub.free-forums.org/index.php

It is crap compared to the US websites cos you have a bunch of guys who bitch about everything, but at least you can still find some pictures where I may have posted....

cheers guys! Great site!

Some pics to share.

Just to share....

Damn I have more pics but it limits to only 2 pics.

The previous post I have the aluminium box. How it works is that I got that box fabricated and a flex pipe is directly connected to the outlet of the stock air box. Using a K&N drop in and I don't lose any low end but rather get some high end due to the ram air effect. By the way after installation, I close up 1/3 (so you can't see the hole of the flex pipe) and it acts a bit like a 1/2 opened shoe box, capturing the air and forcing it into the stock air box. The flex pipe is only about 1 feet long, thus not as restrictive as the stock resonator. Our engines are very similar, and we can learn a lot from each other.

I have done the following to my car, but just can't post so many pics! damn.

1) Front strut tower bar
2) rear lower tie
3) 4 point mid brace
4) front lower tie
5) VTTR racing 6 pot 303mm rotors, was on JBT 4 pots with 330mm slotted rotors
6) Stainless steel braided hoses
7) Progress rear sway bars - endlinks on the way!!!
8) BC coilovers - I think they are rebranded Megan racings, or rather it is the other way round, ie megan is a rebranded BC coilovers. www.bcec.com.tw (I love their English too! Taiwanese company.
9) Hondata gasket (coolant bypass)
10) Bored my own throttle body, intake runners, and intake manifold. Makes the engine sound louder and more aggressive, and some gains felt. butt dyno.
11) hi flo cat, 4-1 super dynamics stainless steel header.
12) Operated muffler. The exhaust shop cuts all all the crap from the stock muffler and welds on a straight pipe in there, and stuff it with silent sports cotton to muffle the sound. Car sounds bassy and deep, but not loud at all.
13) Car is in workshop, getting AFC neo installed and tuned. Hope it works. Very desperate...

by the way, D2 racing makes coilovers too for our ride and I just tested one...it is awesome....you guys should be able to get those with pillow ball mounts for about $900 USD or $1000 USD at most.
