Installed Pics: Front Strut and Rear Sway Bar

Think I posted this is the wrong section.....

Some pics to share:

Front strut bar from Summit - kind of too orangey for my liking

Rear sway bar from Progress - 22mm (stock 11mm - how puny!)

Progress sway bar

Will the Progress rear sway bar fit my north american r18 sedan? I was thinking about getting one but I wasnt sure. Do you guys think I should get the front SI sway bar along with Progress rear sway bar or should the rear sway bar be good enough?

How hard was the install of the rear bar? How does it affect ride quality?
Is the original rear bar bent through the middle section, or is it supposed to be that way? Did you install both at the same time?
Looks good...

This is the Cusco front strut bar designed for the Japanese FD1 06 Civic. Being the largest volume Cusco dealer in the US 3 years running, Cusco chose us to test-fit this bar on our own 06 SI.

This bar will NOT fit an 06 US SI as the intake manifold is in the way of the 3 point mounting bracket.

However, the bar should fit an 06 US civic coupe or sedan and we have a customer currently test-fitting. We'll let you all know!

it will fit, but i believe the wheel base on a sedan is just a tad longer than the coupe.

heres a thread from clubcivic.com with a guy that put it on his sedan

well that's odd. the Australian civics also have a K20. i assume the K20 + coupe configuration is different than the K20 + sedan?

yeah i agree, it looks like they found a way to clear the manifold. The only difference in that bat i see is the Resivoirs are on the other side cause of the different driver location

Is that 11mm rear sway the same size in the Si? I'd find that hard to believe. How does the new one effect the handling?
Thanks

No I don't think so. The SI rear sway is 17mm, I think.

Stiffer rear sway reduces body roll during hard cornering.

For those who are keen on the Summit front strut bar, you can try contacting their distributors below. Work out something with them and get them to ship to you. I am sure they do.

I had the bar in my hand and I'm telling there was NO way this 3-point mounting plate cleared the intake manifold. We have a different intake manifold than most other K-series motors as far as I know...I think it's from the Accord Type R/TSX.
