Cool Megan Coilovers :installed

So tonight I decided to install my megan coilovers They have 32 levels of damping force, and yada yada yada all the other stuff . It was easy to install and took a little over an hour to complete. (that is removing the stock suspension and installing the new). This is my frist coilover set ever. I have the ride height where I want it, but now onto where it gets a lil confusing. You can adjust the spring rate, and damping rates, With the damping I adjusted from 0 being the stiffest, and went for a ride, and its stiff and i like it just at higher speeds it gets a tad bouncy , nothing crazy just enough so you can feel it. I went back and adjusted it to the 32 and its soft as stock, and dont notice anything diffrent untill i get into the higher speeds at about 70+ and the same bounce occurs.

So can any one offer any advice. I rather not try messing with the spring rates, but should the front damping be stiffer then the back or vice versa?

I dont think anyone on this forum has these megans on yet so could anyone with the Teins chime in with how you have yours set:) . Or if there is someone with the Megans please come out of the woodwork and offer your knowledge.

Thanks guys "and gals"

i'm no expert, but from my experience most aftermarket suspension will have a lil bounce to it especially with those lil smooth dips(not holes) at higher speeds. like i'll basically feel the dip, but no loss in vehicle control. continuous bouncing is bad like when you got dead shocks or something, not good so your situation sounds normal unless i'm missing something...i think the front is stiffer because that's where you get the most weight with the engine/transmission and stuff..that's just my $.01. i'm sure someone more knowledgable will chime in with a more useful $.02.

did you preload the spring on the perch prior to install. dont use the spring perch to adjust the height you will have to use the lower mount to adjust the height. that way the pring wont chatter or bounce excessively

i put it softer when i have someone with me that can't handle the stiffness.

ok ok ill get pictures as soon as i can...i promise, I ordered them from a local shop Billet Design motorsports, billetdesign.com

as for a review, im goign to get an alignment, and have the camber fixed before I can give you an exact review, today i spent the day setting the ride height, and have it where I want, it is easy to adjust, now im tweaking the damping settings. , I will say I went to a local park where I know has some good twisties, and man let me say its alot better then stock, i was bookin through there at like 75-80, when normally i can hit 60-65.

It costs extra to ship to Hawaii. If I were you, I would email them though. They may help you out especially with this being a high priced item... they may want the sale ( i am sure it is a decent profit) and throw you a bone!
