go to <insert local auto parts store name here> and buy four jackstands, they are relatively inexpensive, and much safer than working on/under the car than using the cheap jack your car comes with.

even if they cost $100, is it a price worth paying for your own safety?

Yea I bought 4 Jackstands for under $40 from Advance Autio Parts. They are all good up to 3tons... a little overkill i guess. But jacking the car up on to them is interesting. I had to run the jack almost all the way up so it was high enough to fit the stand under it, then bring the car back down. And btw, the stock Jack really sucks. You have to like hold everything together while you spin. I need to buy a real floor jack lol

I wouldnt even bother spraying my calipers a bright color. They are gonna get dirty over and over. I would spary in a gun metal or gloss black. It looks nice for the first couple of months tho.

You just have to keep up with cleaning them like the rest of the car. I clean my car every 1-2 weeks and wipe rims down more often if needed. Plus i always carry some microfibre towels in the car. So, basically I just hit the calipers as often as the wheels and I should be good :)
