Q: Eibach Pro-kit???

I recently purchased these suckers for my 06 civic dx
and have a few questions regarding them, so any help
is appreciated!!

a. After removing the front struts from the car can
i just stand on the spring while its flat on the ground, then
removing the top bolt to get the spring off?
because i seen a tutorial here that says you can but for
most Hondas?

b. Camber - With the Pro-kit is a 1" drop, Will I need
a camber kit for this application??

c. I seen another tutorial for Tein coils for which he had
to remove the plastic piece from the car (under the hood by front
windshield), What exactly was this intended for?

d. I own 18" rims on 40 series tires, am i gonna take em out
by rubbing the rear quarters?

If there are any other concerns i should know off hand before
attempting this mod please let me know?

Thanks!

I just bought the same springs...
I am getting a camber kit; it may not be totally necessary, but given the cost of 40-series tires, and also for the sake of traction, I'd keep your camber exactly where the service manual says it should be.
I also have 18" 40-series tires... I have asked several other people, and rubbing is mostly dependent on your offset. Anything above +40mm and you should be alright... less, you may have problems.

I'm going to add a question now :)
I'm at work right now, so I can't get to it, but the instructions in the box say something about cutting the bump stop. The Tein DIY on this site doesn't mention it at all... is this an Eibach-specific step or is it not necessary?

Thanks!
J

it does mention it lower down when you read it for the TEIN's
and YES do it, it will be better to do it while its in your face
rather then when you ride it to feel it later on ...

Yeah, I figured if they say to do it, then it's obviously for a reason... why do you have to cut the bump stop anyway? If I have to do something, I like to know why :)

the stock coils i believe are longer, so by installing the Eibach pro-kit
or any other lowering coils brings it closer to the bumpstop thus smacking
it more and harder in a quick shift in response??

just my guess!

Cool. I always prefer to make as few permanent changes as possible, if for some bizzare reason I have to change things back to stock. I'm going to order camber parts as soon as I get paid (Thursday ) so I should have the kit going on in a few weeks. If you get yours on before me, let me know how it went!
