Question Si Springs On R18? DIY Request

I tried searching for 2 days and still no result as if any r18 members put si springs on thier ride.

same ride height? better handling?

how many hours to change all 4 springs?

I also need to know how to change the springs on the r18 as it looks different from the SI DIY on this forum. front and back plz

it will be the same as an SI. if it was different, the si suspension wouildnt fit..

the ride height will be a tad bit higher but it will handle better and ride will be stiffer

hmm that's a good reason then, some guys with r18s installed the Si suspension and rear bar and they were impressed, just search a bet.

my friend did an install on his FA while i watched... if youre just replacing the springs, then you would need a spring compressor (very simple tool) that makes the job a lot safer. once the stock spring is compressed, i believe you will need a hex tool and a wrench to remove the top cap. the spring slides off, and then you replace it with the si spring. now you will need to un-compress the stock spring that has been removed, and use the tool to compress the si spring so you can put the cover back on.

repeat that for all four suspensions. as for installing it back on the vehicle, if youve taken it off, then its the same way putting it back in. to access the front two, you will have to remove the plastics that are below the windshield wipers.

edit: oops i apologize for reviving a dead thread
