i was going to get the Tokico blue shocks/struts paired with Eibach pro-k springs and the f/r SPC camber kit, but money isnt permitting me to do this right now. so im thinking about doing just springs for a while and had a few questions...
1) should i align the car as soon as i install the springs? or wait for a while to let them settle? if so, how long do i need to let them settle? and thats it, i guess haha. (for now!) |

it will align without it depending on the kit you get. the pro-kit doesn't really need it, but makes the ride smoother personally and a little better grip. without the camber kit the car's tire surface is less, meaning worse handling. the front we got because the TOE is messed up and the car wiggles when hitting a bump and that will hopefully help that.

I want my tires flat, with little to no camber. I'm more worried about tire wear than anything in my Hybrid. I know, why lower it then? I like the way it looks, and I get better mileage with it lower. I'll save the better handling for my 1000cc cart. I got over the super handling on my daily driver thing after my 5th ticket over 150mph.

I believe that the idea of a camber is so that when the car is cornering, the tire on the side of the car that is leaning stands almost vertically, so that the most rubber is touching the ground as possible, for control in the corners and even braking into corners. However braking is sometimes improved while turning (which is not reccomended because you lose the stability of the car in the corner), but its actually a fact that braking in a straight line with a severe camber is actually lost. You generally want to avoid severe camber if your looking to brake alot, in straight lines, but it greatly improves handling.
I would reccomend a slight negative camber. Not too sure the effects of positive cambers however... I would use like a -.05 camber |

guys the OEM specs for camber are like -0.0 to -0.7 if i remember correctly with my subuaru. 0.02 wont even show up on the machines, let alone affect your tire wear. as people said before, toe is what destroys your tires, not camber... to an extent at least.
