yeah but im getting these off another member here, and the price is significantly cheaper than buying it from CHH...so i want to know if these will work before i go out and spend more on them, unless someone knows where to get them cheaper than college hills

That's iffy cuz the HFP kit for the Si was designed to work with the larger sway bars of the SI. It will bolt up but I wonder how it will react in turns on a DX/LX/EX. But I am no suspension guru. Anyone have deeper insight?

I have been trying to acquire "hard numbers" on the shock valving for the HFP stuff myself. If ANYTHING, the variations in part numbers is due to the fact the Si is heavier than almost all other Civic models... Therefore it probably has stiffer shocks and spring rates to compensate for this.

Using the Si HFP kit on lower model Civics won't be a problem.

Worst case scenario imho: the car won't be lowered as much as it would on the LX/EX HFP kit simply because it doesn't have the static (resting) weight equal to that of the Si. The LX/EX may not compress the springs all that much when installed and lowered back to the ground. I'm not talking huge numbers here, but it may only lower the car 3/4 of an inch instead of the full inch, per se.

So it "shouldn't" have any effects both short/long term on any other aspects of the car?

Link to 4 dr part numbers.

It seems Honda uses a different kit for 4dr auto vs 4dr manual. Hmm.
