Brakes upgraded to JDM Euro R Accord brakes

The R18 sedan front brakes came with puny 262 mm rotors and above all, they are spongy to the feel, even if you brake hard.

I have since upgraded to the JDM Euro R Accord brakes with 300 mm rotors and cool big calipers.

If you have the opportunity to upgrade those brakes, do it. You won't regret it.

Those. Are. Nice!

I bet they really bring out the "Mugen" look too! They look great man! How long did the install take? Wanna take a picture of the rears?

I didn't change the rears since most of the braking takes place at the fronts.

They were taken off one that was fitted with a 6-pot, can't remember what brand that is, so it is second-hand or pre-owned. However, they were at most 3 weeks old, according to my brake installer.

I paid about USD280 all-in (including installation, bleeding of valves and topping up of brake fluid).

they look nice.

Are they supposed to feel spongy?

Spongy brakes can be addressed just by replacing brake lines with steel ones.

But dang, that's cheap for replacing and installing the whole set.

off topic//

What rim you got there? Looks great and still keeps the OEM appeal.

They also need to be teflon coated. Never buy just the stainless steel lines.

Well, the rears are not so important as most of the braking is handled by the fronts. Anyway, I will look around if there is any viable upgrade.
