HFP Suspension reviews?
Hey, just wanted to see how many Si owners, such as myself, are satisfied with their HFP suspension from Honda. Reason being is that I know it doesn't lower it as much as many want( .8-1 inches), but I want to see your overall view on it regarding handling and looks. Im not too familair with suspension and all, so if I purchase the HFP suspension, what does it come with exactly? Thanks guys and any before and after pics to really see the effect of the drop?

I love mine. Best mod I've done to date. HFP Suspension and front and rear camber kit(Optional but recomended). The HFP suspension comes with all the bolts and neccessary hardware needed to install it properly. It does come with struts and springs. The drop is subtle but it give it a much better stance. HFP suspension should be 500-600 dollars. Don't let the dealer take advantage of you. The place to get informed about suspension is here..
Suspensions!!! That is where I got all my knowledge from and made a decision off of that. The setup he is talking about really works and feels great. |

I'm actually a big fan of how much of a drop the HFP kit gives you. I was looking for a compromise between drop and performance and that is the HFP benefit. Very satisfied with the kit. I run a 225/45/17 tire and it fills the fenders a tad better than stock imo.

My review summed up in a word: awesome
The drop imo is all that you need it fills up the fenders. The performance is awesome over stock, you can notice that you are lower to the ground and body roll is diminished. I have the kit without a camber kit and aftermarket sways and its more than fine ( I would love more camber on the front for auto-x though). It comes with a shock/spring combo for the front and independent shock and spring in the rear and install hardware (bolts, nuts etc...) If you haven't already updated to better tires I would advise that first. I'm running falken azenis rt615 225/45/17 on enkei rpf-1's 17x8. --Korea |

HFP comes with springs and shocks... U DONT need camber or anything else... it only cost around $600 from collegehillshonda.com and I have been thru 5 suspension set-up and am staying with HFP for good!!!
It doesnt slam ur car but its a nice noticeble drop... and if u get 18in wheels u be perfect... |

To add a little bit to this one,
On an autocross course, there is a guy that gets times pretty close to mine, he switched to HPF susp, and on the same course, we clocked in practically the same time. I'm stock suspension with r-comp tires, he's HFP susp on street tires. I was faster on sweepers, he was (much) faster on slaloms. For a $600 sticker price, you should definitely go with it. I'm currently competing under GS, and don't want to put that in until the end of the season. |

Yep, love mine as well. Sure, I wish it was another inch lower, but for me, that isn't pracftical when I was already scraping the bumper at a stock 4x4 height.
The handling is very crisp. My only complaint is that the suspension is now stiff enough that my car rattles to hell and back over bad roads, now. Actually, it drives me nuts because it sounds like my car is falling apart. |

Thanks guys for all the feedback, and after hearing all of your views on how good it is, i pretty much made the decsion to buy it. One thing though, why do I need new tires? arent the michellens good? are u saying that it will ride less rough with 18's or just different tires and if so, which brand? thnx (by the way, I want to keep my stock 17's cause ther powdercoated black and look good, so could I run the HFP without 18's or is it absoultley necessary?)
