My friend is a Honda ASE mechanic and he knows the Honda rederick when it comes to this stuff...

I think that it's worth it to pay $400 for a dealer installation that would include an allingment and proper rear camber adjustment when possible.

They usually give you a warranty for the allignment job and they will warrant the labor and the parts.

On a different note, unless you are a complete idiot, this install is a slam dunk...especially the rear...the help of a friend would be beneficial but not necessary.
As far as I know they have to be able to trace it back to your bad installation... I asked my father (works at Honda of America) and he said that is what he thought.

It would be like installing a CAI. If you have engine problems, they can only revoke your warranty if they can trace the problem directly back to the installed CAI. They can't say that they are taking away your warranty if a part/accessory has nothing to do with the problem. On the other hand, if they can trace it back directly to that part, then the warranty is voided.

Honda warrants the parts as soon as you buy them. If I open the suspension box and find a crack in the spring, they will replace it. If I install it, drive it, and then I find a crack, Honda could probably blame it on me. But, if you can do the install correctly, it shouldn't be a problem. I believe that is the policy.

However, who says the skunk2 doesn't improve the handling just as well with the benefit of being able to adjust your height.

AHHH what to doo

It would be like if you have a Cold Air and they find water in your engine... they would blame it on you putting that on then driving through the rain so your warranty is void.

Ok, enough warranty talk. Sorry to get off topic.

Overall, I think the HFP is a great kit. Seems to have great handling and drop the car a little. I think I will buy it for my civic once I get the money gathered.

I would get the skunk2 but I dont have so many miles on my car still. So gona do the hfp springs. Gona put 1 sway bar in the back and 2 camber kits front and back however that works. Dont want to void warranty>,< N i read alot about that. If they can trace back to that then its ur fault =o. Basicly the way I look at it is with the springs if they fail on you while driving then your car will fall to the ground n ruin alot of parts. I dont think insurance will cover that either. Would it? Geico!!!!!! lol

The pro S coils look sick on the Si(seen in person) and are adjustable which gives a slight edge over the HFP. But I have heard people being upset about the pro S coils for some reasons. On the other hand I have heard nobody complain about their HFP's beside the point that they give a less agressive drop than most people would like. Other than that, they are the best "all around" choice IMO.

^^ actually hes right lol ive researched about the pro S and they supposedly give a really rough ride so some get tired of it. other than that ther great but i might just get the HFP suspension and have a professional place install them for 175 or get the stecs not sure yet....

If you've been following all of the detailed talk by highrev etc... "adjustability" isn't necessarily good. Often it only adjusts one type of damping.

What I do know about the HFP is that all the damping and spring rates are different for all the coupes and sedans and models. AKA the rates are different from si coupe to si sedan and ex/lx coupe and sedan. Seriously can you beat a honda suspension setup designed for your exact make and model? (around the same price point) Who knows. But I can tell you that I love my HFP suspension.
