This is when i first received the kit
![]() a few on the car pics.... current state ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the "stage 2" merc aftercooler core...i think i paid extra for the cutout on the bottom of the core and the cutout for the starter... i dont know if he chrages for this anymore ![]() ![]() ![]() i also ordered the Johnson Pump.. which is an upgrade also...and i beieive the heat exchanger is one of Merc's biggest also Had my blower inlet and housing ported by Posi Perfromance before the initial install... Posi did a lot of work with the supercharged Mustangs and had great success..but he is semi- retired from porting and just runs a machine shop

on a side note Jose Mercado (Mercracing's) work is spot on and fit and finish is right...any wait i had which was a substantial one was totally refuted by the quality of their products...Their customer support for my installation questions has been swift and informative.... Looking forward to seeing the future products from Merc Racing..

your core has an extra piece welded on top probably to fill the gap between the manifold and the core to make all the air go thru the core.. and on mine i paid extra to have the bottom plate of the core CNC'd out for extra airspace... that should be the only difference
you can see in the pic i posted of the core in the manifold up on top of the core. there is an airgap between the two...yours is a bit better actually Last edited by mercurysunshine; 11-10-2012 at 12:06 AM. |

Hi guys
I have a CT-e w/ a 3.15 pulley atm. Few questions.. 1) Any performance diff between IMT vs Jose's AC (IIRCC jose's wait is longer right vs imt's 8 week wait) 2) What is the difference between the stage 1/2 IMT AC (Obviously stg2 cools more, but I mean is like stage 1 for the 3" pulley then stage 2 is for the 2.8" and smaller or how does it work) 3) If I were to add an AC to my SC right now, would I see an instant gain in power or would I only see power by upgrading to a 3" pulley? If so what are the average gains. Thanks for helping a n00blet like me

i dont have any contrasting number on it.. but the more Hex the better.. you can cool down more coolant at once to put back thru the system...having said that a bigger, more efficient pump would be a good idea also |
