a aftercooler is a cooler for the supercharger n it sets right after the charger. its built to fit inside the manifold of the charger. soo the hot heated air from the charger is cooled before in enters the engine. soo that colder air is more dense so you would add horsepower... cost, i am not sure check around here or go into the supercharger threads over on clubrsx.com. n whp im not sure you will only gain so much and it will only be as good as your tune is.

You don't really need one unless your gonna run a 3'' pulley or smaller, so if your running stage 1 or 2 your ok or if you really want some type of cooling run a water/meth kit. Not saying you can't run one w/ stage 1 or 2 but it is not absolutely necessary. Save the money and focus on getting supporting mods ie. I/H/E/FP if you don't already have them. Thats what i'm doing.

As you compress air, it heats up. Too much compression (to hot of intake air) and your engine knocks and pings......and lowering the intake air temp allows more O2 per a given volume of air. More O2 equates to more hp if fuel delivery is adequate.

I don't know how much they cost nor can I tell you how much whp they yield as that would be determined by too many other factors.
