The first two pulls in the video are 3rd gear. I was at around 21 in 3rd. The last was 4th, @ 228. TOV did their runs in 4th, and my friend in the turbo RSX who I'm having a little competition with was also 4th so like to said, I used 4th for the higher, more accurate readings.

People when are you going to learn that all dynos dont read HP equally and yes I mean dynos of the same type. You can visit 5 dynojet and all of them will have different reading with huge differences. Here in my home town I tried two dynojet (yes of the same kind) in one I read 167whp and in the other almost 200whp.
When you dyno your car go to the same dyno everytime you do it. If Comptech promise a gain of 40-50whp that it is what you must make sure to have once you got your kit. I bet everything if COmplex and TOV SI go to the same dyno COmplex will have more hp. I never trusted TOV hp reading they're very high for a car, the best test is to take both cars to a quater mile track and see how many mph ends each one. Im sure that COmplex will have more. Another note I saw in the video that the car was dynoed @ 5100+ FT of altitude. I know that FI cars aren't very affected as N/A cars but they suffer too a % of hp loss compared to a dyno at sea level. Last edited by Shark Tek; 10-28-2006 at 01:55 PM. |
