Arrow COMplex's Stage "XX" Superchargery Thread - Corn power!

Monday August 10, 2009

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, monsters and aliens... It has been done, again! This time I'm going to call it Stage "XX" (because I feel like it).

After much anticipation and waiting, my most recent upgrades are complete. The car is now running on a 3" pulley, FlashPro, and e85 ethanol fuel

I already had RC 650cc injectors from my Stage 'X' upgrade, so the only other additions were the 3" pulley, a Walbro 225lph fuel pump, FlashPro, and of course I removed the AEM FIC.

The car feels amazing. I can't even imagine this thing at sea level. It's a beast. It just keeps pulling and pulling all the way to the rev limiter. It's meaner and louder than ever before, and I lose traction like it's going out of style with brand new tires, as well as my Hoosier Drag Radials.

I took the car to the DynoJet Dyno operated by Bear @ Dyno Pro Inc. Mike took care of tuning this monster, and I can only say great things about his work.

According to the FlashPro datalogs, the car was only making 6~psi on the dyno because of the outside temps (almost 90°F - very hot day!!) Later that night, when it cooled off to around 65°F, I saw 9psi on my AEM boost gauge. I will be dynoing again on a colder evening for sure!

On to the dyno graphs:

Thanks Mike! Your tuning is a fine art.
Thanks Bear! Couldn't have done it without your facilities

e85 helps a lot.

Only issue I have is I make less boost when it's hot out, and more when it's cold.

According to the FlashPro datalogs... My IATs were 93.2°F on the run above. Ambient air temps were 88.81°F, and of course we had a large fan blowing on the front of the car.

I don't have a way to log EGTs currently.

Depends on the station. The closest one to me is $1.90/gal. The highest I've seen it/paid for it was $2.09/gal.

.15"?

LOL I'm not sure. Probably a couple psi. I skipped over the 3.15" because I already make less boost @ high altitude.
