i will start with a good tune and then go from there. i can pretty much afford the hydra system now so that maybe what i go with. I may stay na and get some cams and see where that puts me. I am still in shock that bryan beat me. We will see what the dyno says. I changed my spark plugs and they were pitiful. Black and they were starting to bleed thru. It already feels better but could also just be my imagination. Who knows.

Radiant heat transfer depends on the color. There are black bodies which absorb the most radiant heat, gray bodies which absorb some and white bodies which theoretically will absorb little or no radiant heat. Heat transfer from touching engine components would be conductive heat transfer, and to lower this you would want material with higher R ratings (such as insulation). I think this is what the gaskets on the throttle body spacer does. Thermal conductivity is the measurement for how much a material transfers heat, and is independent of color. Aluminum has a very high heat transfer coefficient, it will absorb and transfer heat very easily (as do most metals). Plastics, generally, have lower heat transfer coefficients, and will create barriers for heat transfer. Insulating an air intake would lower the amount of heat transferred to the intake, and thus lower the amount of heat transferred to the incoming air, allowing for gains. I just realized a typed out way to much crap just now... |

You reroute the coolant from flowing from the block to the throttle body by looping the hose back into the block.
It keeps the throttle body cooler and in turn keeps the intake charge cooler. You sacrifice cold weather startup, but we are talking extreme climates up north where your throttle butterfly could get frozen or stuck in place. |

just because jarreds run was lower does not mean he lost power from them. there is other issues going on with his car. if anyone wants pullies then jarred is selling them. the pullies show gains, but yet again jarreds si is acting weird.
