ok heres my story
im a 10k miles and need a new filter
so i decide to do the drop in from K&N
i pop that sumbish in there and first start gives me a CEL
2nd and 3rd and 4th as well
Fisrt thing i do is switch back to dirty original, nothing else
no MAF cleaning or anything switched strait back
no CEL
back to K&N CEL
no filter gets a CEL as well to my surprise
my question is why does the K&N throw a CEL
i dont think its oil on the MAF
with no filter im sure its seeing to much air
maybe this has somthing to do with it
im really bummed about this
i kinda want it to work
but i dont know what to do
why do some people seem to have no trouble with this filter and i do lol
any help is greatly appreciated

its not an ecu thing cuz it throw it immediatley and when i go back to oem
it goes off
im thinking maybe it has something to do with air flow
im been driving around and havnt noticed anything different

I've run the K&N drop in too and I never had a problem.

Maybe your car wants you to reset the ecu.

Get your radio code ready and diconnect the negative terminal. Reconnect it and then turn the car on and let it idle for 10 min.
