Why HELLOOOooo.

<---- Brad

Oklahoma native.
Stillwater resident for the time being.
Bought my Si Coupe in Feb.

Any of you guys think about taking your Si to Hallett?
I've got a friend with an STi that has been trying to get me to take my car.
It's pretty much stock though (just new wheels).

Been trying to get the Aero lip kit and maybe the HFP suspension (it's my DD though, so I don't really know if I'd want the ride to be any stiffer.), but my dealership here "Fenton Honda" doesn't buy any of the accessories.

I got a quote from Bob Howard that was in the stratosphere, so I think I'm just going to buy online from collegehillshonda or hondapartsdeals, maybe DCHAuto ebay store.

^^I got the HFP suspension and I have to say that it does make the ride really bumpy but then again, I don't have an Si... LX baby. What color is your Si anyways?

It's Nighthawk Black.

I tried to get Galaxy Grey, but when I was looking the only Si in GG coming out of the manufacturer for 3 months was already sold before it even hit the lot somewhere in texas. So it would have been a long wait for another.

I'm happy with the black. It shows scratches and swirls really easily (I had to clay bar it to remove some swirls fresh from the dealership... should have made them do it), so you have to be insanely careful while washing, but it really doesn't show the oklahoma dirt as bad as I thought it would.

I decided against the HFP suspension, and I'm thinking I still want to buy the HFP lip kit, JDM red honda emblems, and paint my brake calipers red.
It'll look pretty hawt then.

Actually, buy my HFP brake kit and save yourself the hassle of painting calipers. These babies are already RED FROM FACTORY haha.

isn't it just the hub of the rotor that's red, though? I thought you kept your stock calipers when you upgraded to the HFP brake kit.

I thought the same.
HFP brake kit doesn't come with the caliper, just the brake pads and rotors have red highlights.

I'll be looking at the HFP brake kit as soon as I need to replace my pads, but that's probably not going to be for another year, maybe longer.

But I need to get my car looking mean so I can post pics

I would paint mine too but the LX doesn't have those kind of brakes in the back. Oh well... going to convert that some day.

bought caliper paint from autozone, it was between 6 and 8 dollars. bought some brake cleaner, that was 4 bucks. I used a metal hanger out of my closet to hang the caliper from the suspension (so I didn't have to disconnect it), a lot of newspaper to seal everything off.. of course, some masking tape. it was actually very easy- just time consuming. my car was out of commission for about 2 days, but I think it was worth it.

looks like I painted the calipers on 12/22/2006, and they still look good. no fading, and very little chipping. they still look great! most of the pictures I posted above are from this summer.
