DFW stand up!

Just looking to meet some fellow car buddies in the DFW area. Post your car info + mods + where you live. I'll start:

07 Si sedan in Fiji Blue
All stock
Working in Plano, living in Fort Worth, going back to school in Arlington in the Fall

Oh, and if you're willing to help out with modding also post that. I'm pretty new to the car world, but I would like to do a few small mods to my car, starting with an Injen CAI but it looks confusing and I'm not confident enough to try it myself

I'm in west side Ft. Worth bro, and I'd be down to kick it sometime. I've got a 7th gen (2005) so don't expect much, lol.
What school are you going to be going to in Arlington?

Hell yeah! A reply! Are you in the Hulen & I-20 west side of town? Or nearer to I-30? I used to drive around there a lot because my 2 best friends live near there =]. Also got my car from Frank Kent there lol.

I'm going to UTA, got another year left b4 I graduate. U? 7th Gen, 8th Gen... it's all the same when the rubber burns lol

I'm closer to where 820 & I-30 meet a little past Frank Kent, which is where I got my car too.

Not exactly, 7th gens don't burn rubber at any point in time. Hell, on some days they don't even go uphill.

Oh and... 07 FA5 FBP... and yes... with the sort-of-famous neon orange wheels (for "racing" even though they have only seen the car once... and drove to Waco)

A GTG is a get together where everyone just posts up and chills out, takes pics, whatever else might be on the agenda. They're good stuff when you want to meet some people off the boards and just joke around and take some pics.

Nice, do you like the SRI? Feel any noticable difference?
What's there to do in Frisco? I was at the roughrider's game 2 weeks ago and we left about 4-5th inning lol

Yup I know where Clearwater is, right down from 1709 and Bear Creek. My girlfriend lives right down from that.

The wheel/tire package was part of the purchase. They wanted to say it was $3000 (!) but I came out ahead I think after "negotiations." It really does increase the track a little. Lengthens the gearing a tad and probably gives me a little worse gas mileage and a scosh less wheel horsepower. Looks tough tho.

No but looks are part of it. They look far nicer than stock.

From what I can gather, they weigh almost exactly the same as the stock 17"s -- not that those are lightweights, but at least these aren't boat anchors. However, they probably still do increase rolling resistance and unsprung inertia due to width and increased diameter -- so suspension action suffers a tiny bit, acceleration suffers a tiny bit, gas mileage is down a little, etc.

On the plus side, I think the car probably corners flatter due to two inch wider track, and has more ultimate grip due to 235s instead of 215s. Brake cooling is probably enhanced a little too. Worthy tradeoff in my opinion.

I play Hold Em from time to time.
