At least you don't set them up and not attend. I won't mention who does this, but dang, isn't that something, eh HondaGoalie?

way too many people will melt... that's the only reason I can think of why people are scared of the heat.

I'll get pseudo-prepared in the coming days (water, gas, extra gas, non-perishable food, etc.... I've done the drill in Florida many times) so I can leave if I feel the need.

It wouldn't be the hurricane that would be troublesome in BR, it would be the poorly prepared gov't running recovery/clean-up. Hurricanes hitting Louisiana? surely not!?!?! no need to prepare for that again.

Having a truck with a trunk is great for the cat litter! keeps the stinky away

Hey, I still have some MRE's leftover from Katrina. Some taste good, some are barf. But, when you don't have power for weeks they are better than mudpies.

MRE=MealReadytoEat for those who may not know.

weeks without power? Oh screw that. I'd be out of here until it came back on. too freakin hot plus it would be tough to do computer work with no power.

Not a bad idea. There are also hitch mounted grills available... in that case you would Shi...poop where you eat.
