I have Bricka for process. Hernandez is teaching reactor, and Walters is teaching this new polymeric compounds tech elec. Since most people disappear before I get the chance to ask, how was the FE?

Oh, not bad at all. Then again, you only get the Pass/Fail grade, so its hard to really tell where I stood. I don't know of anyone who failed it.
They usually give reviews (At least Dr.R put some together for us). They really help. I had Bricka for Plant Design, and I had Hernadez for a corrosion engineering elective. I hear he is very good at Reactor. My team (which I was the leader of) got 3rd place in the Plant Design contest. We got a $75 cash prize!! Is Dr. R and Dr. H not teaching anything for you guys? |

Dr. R taught me Thermo II. Dr. H isn't teaching anything in the fall, so unless he teaches a spring senior level course I might actually end up never having him for a class.
I've also heard good things about Hernandez with respect to reactor. I had him for mass and energy balances back in the day, and he was a really good teacher (extremely strict grader though). I hope I end up in a group I can stand. I'm graduating with the people who co-oped in the class above me, so there's a good chance I'll end up stuck in a group of people I don't know/like. Blech. |

One of the biggest challenges you will face as an engineer is working with people you rather not. Most engineers are very opinionated, and this can cause problems in a group setting.
In process design, we were in 3 different groups total, chosen at random. I had one group that was incredibly difficult, but it was a great learning experience in group strategy. I take it you decided to not co-op? |
