Return the si

I have a question about returning my car. i posted it here because i dont know if different laws require different things... but i wanted to return my si because when i went to finance i was not told that the total cost plus interest brought my car up to 43 thousand dollars so i was wondering if i could return before making my first payment, if it would effect anything and how to do it.

Hmmm... You might want to see about getting a lawyer, 'cause chances are that your credit will now be screwed, unless your state has some kind of "cooling off" period.

If you don't mind, how much did you put down & what are your monthly payments & for how many months / years?

Wow! That's unheard of. You'll definitely want to talk to the dealership about that. You may need to see a lawyer.

With financing, I think in the end, I have to pay an extra $1500-2000 with my 5 year loan. There's no way you should have to pay an extra $20,000. Paperwork is messed up somewhere, or you need to refinance that car now with a co-signer to get your interest rate down. What is your interest rate? 50%?

Wow, wow, wow! Didn't you have a calculator with you when you signed the papers? I mean damn! That's insane! Yes. You might definitely want to contact a lawyer or see if the dealer is willing to rework the deal. Is your credit good? First time buyer? Did they tack on some other services that you are unaware of? Your deal could've also been kinda fraudulent or falsified, but if you did sign the papers, knowing how much it was going to cost.... Yeah. You might want to see a lawyer now.

Hopefully you can take care of this.

With that kind of money, you could have bought a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9 or a Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

EDIT- lol no because if i bought a 40 thousand dollar car it would be 80 thousand with interest

Wow man! That's still way too much money. I could be paying about $600 for a brand spanking new EVO or STi for the next 60 months with 0 down right now if I wanted to. You might want to eliminate some of those "insurances". The only thing that I would suggest is the GAP insurance. Nothing else. You might want to get your own insurance as well, if you haven't already.

If you don't want to mess up your credit, contact a lawyer.

If you don't mind, then you can return it. Just keep in mind that it's going to get twice as hard & even more expensive to buy any car or house or apply for a credit card in the future. Getting a school loan will also be quite costly... Think about it really good.

You can also put it in the paper & have someone try to take over the payments as well. You might have to give them some extra money to take it off you.

Good luck! ( ^o^)/

he can get another car, but he has to put a big down payment and have a co-signer... same goes on the house...

Can't you get the dealer to buy back the car without hurting your credit?
