i have 5% all around + 5% strip on top part of my windshield. no one in nc or ohio has said anything about it (yet!) for my nc inspection, i found a place in Morehead City that does state inspections for a normal rate then accepts $10 extra to ignore your illeagal tint. just ask around, i am sure there is somewhere like that near you. it is a funny storry how i found out about that place that hooks you up on ignoring illeagal tint for a nc state inspection: i got pulled over by an mp (military police, i am stationed at Marine Corps air station cherry point) for runnig a stop sign. he gave me a warning and noticed my dark tint and told me where he goes to get his personal vehicle inspected because of illeagal tint.

Vtec_Marine I got a question 4 u, How does your tint fit over those big ass dot matrix things where your rear view mirror is?

it fits good. looked kida weird at first, but after about a week (once the tint fully "cured" and all of the soapy water film evaporated) it looks better and better as it sits out in the sun.

i got my car tinted at like 31% so it is actually 35% because of the factory tint. the guys who put mine on did a heck of a job. no bubbles, scratches or anything. oh and i think the guys that did mine didnt put tint over those dots. i think he stopped short from that but i could be wrong. i cant exactly remember

same here bro, at first they had it all the way up over the dots on the rear glass but i didnt like how it looked from the outside so I had them cut it right where they begin. Im gonna see if theres a way to remove the dots from the windshield, and then get the strip. Right now I just gotta remember not to roll down my windows, im so used to having them down
