Honestly, out of all transmissions that I have used, the Si's 6 speed is one of the best. Compared to my old Turbo Eclipse, current SVT Focus, and old Escort GT this tranny is a dream. The only tranny I have liked better was the transaxle frm my old Porsche 924 Turbo... (/rant on) which btw is the only part of that car worth anything at all. There is a reason they are cheap.
