Sorry guys I have to back out. As some of you know I became a grandpa last week and I need to be there for my daughter right now. So I will not make the meet. Family has to come before play. I will try to plan another meet/run in the spring though. And it sounds as if Boogsi is out because of money right now too. But you should still go and have some fun for me guys.... Keep it safe...

Boogsi might change his mind. It is not to late for others to join in just let ETF know.

Sorry I couldn't make it to this meet guys. Couldn't get anyone to work for me that day.

But if anyone's interested... Hwy 138 are always having a meet on every Sunday night. It's at the intersection of Tara BLVD and HWY 138, in the Pulix grocery parking lot.

Well...as they say, this drive has gone to hell in a handbasket! I hit a chuckhole this week, severely bending one of my 18" HFP's and cutting a fairly new tire. I finally got the new wheel & tire on the car last night and have discovered that I have some alignment issues. Something is obviously bent in the RF suspension. So I'm going to have to cancel out on this drive. But I'll be ready to do one at another time if anybody is interested.

I used to have my own car club back in the day and we always met once a month at Hooters in Houston. I dont see why we couldnt do the same thing here in North GA. Speaking of, I Bowl in a league every thursday night and there is a local Mazda SPeed 3 club that meets at the bowling alley I got to every thursday. We need to get something going like that. Im down to orchistrate it if I get enough interest.

There's still hope if you guys want to do a run Sunday. I just heard from a friend of mine , who drives a Porsche Carrera. He has a drive organized for this Sunday with a bunch of different makes of cars. Theey're meeting at the IHOP adjacent to the Outlet Mall in Dawsonville @ 8:00am and leaving from the Mall @ 9:00am

Here is the route:
1) Pre-Meet (optional) @ IHOP 8am. We usually park across from the front door, back of lot adjacent to ARBYS/back row.

2) Gather and Leave across at upper/front lot OutletMall ~9am.

** THE ROUTE **

3) North on Rt400 to end, quick stop at Chevron to top-off-your-tanks.......

4) North on Rt19 to Neels Gap and stop. (The ride up that road is excellent, especially towards the end. Gives that last chance to hit-the-head).

5) Neels Gap northward to RT180, which is just a few miles above NG, make RT on RT180 to Brasstown Bald and end in their lot. (DO NOT make the left onto rt180 that takes you toward suches. This time of year its pelted with stuff that will add character to your car that you dont want)

6) Leave Brasstown Bald, make right, and backtrack on RT180 heading back to RT348 (which you passed earlier), and make LEFT southward.(which is a GREAT road) to end.

7) Possibly head to Helen....... or some other return trip

Anybody interested?

If things go well for me on the alignment rack tomorrow, I might just do this Sunday.

To all that can make the ride have fun and be safe. This could be the last time this year to play in the hills befor they end up with salt and sand. And like I said before I will put a call out in spring for a road meet....
Have fun.

I went up to Helen like 2 weeks ago, and somewhere close to 129... Took about 2 hours of driving off of GA400. Had a blast.

Hope that everyone attending will have a good, safe, and fun day driving.
