Louisiana Meet

Any one up for a meet one of these days? i usually go chyll in front of sake cafe on clearview. its a nice place with alot of light for pictures. i usually go out there when they are closed tho. or there is alwayz the boat launch. which i hate. or we can go to the park n hit up a bbq.

Jump in near the end of this thread Louisiana
for the discussion of Baton Rouge or New Orleans or other? I've been to a couple of Ridgeline meets (have one at Abita Brewery this coming weekend) and they are great so if need be, I'll be the point of contact for the Civic meet, though I have only been in LA for 3 months, so I don't know some good places. I only got my Civic LX coupe 8 days ago, so I can't wait to meet up with you all!

I'd be interested in a La. meet, but I have no clue where these places are that were mentioned by the o.p. and others. Are you guys all from NO or Baton Rouge... didn't see a location in most of your profiles.... People from other parts of the state would probably like to attend as well.

Throw out ideas of places if you have any. Nothing wrong multiple meets in multiple locations in the same state.

I'd love to attend two events on back to back weekends! How cool! When a few more ideas come out, I will take charge of at least one.

When an event is decided upon, it will have it's own thread with (I will turn on anyway) a poll so everyone knows who plans on attending or wants to attend future events and such. All of the details and maps will be provided.

Also will be posted in Mississippi and Alabama threads as well as they are pretty close but depending where the meet is, we could also alert the Texas and Arkansas people.

Pretty much a guarantee that New Orleans will happen. Too many people to not have one there.

If anyone is interested in having a meet near your city, better speak up now. Time waits for no man (or woman as the case may be)

Only suggestions to date are New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

If anyone is so inclined, just set one up and announce it... "if you build it, they will come"

NOTE: I have my Ridgeline meet tomorrow... can't wait!

This still seems like a great idea, any suggestions on a place would be awesome, somewhere in the Baton Rouge or new Orleans area would definatly work.

This sounds decent:

Meet at the LSU Stadium parking lot (for great photo ops)
have something to eat at "Walk ons" ( http://www.walk-ons.com/ )
and possibly go to Casino Rouge ( http://www.casinorouge.com/ )

I have done this place with the Ridgeline group... COOL! Who wants free beer?
Abita Brewery tour http://www.abita.com/ , (Abita Springs, LA) and the food is excellent at the BrewPub. Tours are given every Saturday at 1:00pm and 2:30pm and Sundays at 1:00pm.

But photo ops are VERY limited around there, unless we drive down to the lake (maybe 10 mins south) to Lakeshore Drive in Mandeville. There is a 30+ mile paved trail through that area for biking, walking or rollerblading.

you seem to have this together man, I think something along these lines would be great, but if we were to go to tiger stadium I think on a Sunday would be much better than a gameday.

Lets get it set up man, and leave ample enough time for people to get off of work etc. so we can have a big turnout.

The last LSU home games are Sat. Nov. 11 (ALABAMA) and Sat. Nov. 18 (OLE MISS). So unless there is a bowl game here, it should be completely open.

I just threw some ideas out there with real plans and places and let people see that a plan is really coming together.

Does anyone have an "in" with a dealership?

They could hold the event there, hand out t-shirts with their logo and such and have hot dogs, burgers, etc. Plus advertise to the public to come down and see what is possible for Civics. There is a lot of up-side, especially getting their name mentioned on the Civic boards, plus indirectly mentioned on the Ridgeline board as I belong to a great one as well. Likely even will be mentioned on VTEC.
