Last night's downpour caused a bit of carnage just a few blocks from where I live. So, this morning I snapped of some shots of the aftermath.

This first pic I stole from a local board. Thanks go to supraBoy. I'd say the water in this picture is roughly 14 feet high.

The aftermath at Floyd and Central:

I'm getting hungry, so I might venture out again and get some downtown shots. The Ohio River should be pretty high right about now.

That's crazy, this happened last night? I had no idea at all. Really sucks for those involved.

Yeah. It's still coming down right now. Most of the city's parks are flooded. Downtown is apparently a mess. As soon as I finish eating I'm going to venture out into other parts of town. Wish me luck! I really don't want to get my car stuck in a "puddle."

Wow that's some damage. Be careful out there Cameron. Of all the damage in those pics, the one thing that I keyed in on was the empty can of Natty Light/Ice. Some things in college never change.

I'm back safe. No damage to the car, but my feet/shoes/pants are soaked. I'll upload some pics soon. The second batch isn't as good, but there are still some good flood shots.

Cherokee Park

After seeing the damage at UofL, I drove downtown to see if they flood walls were up (and they weren't) or if the Ohio was up (and it wasn't). So, I got bored there and headed to Cherokee Park. If you're not from Louisville, look it up.

Anyway, here are some random shots from around the park.

Frisbee Field - I usually park my car here when I visit the park. I'm also surprised the lamp is still working.
