Sandbagging is when you go a little easy on the throttle to test the other cars true potential. Basically, you make your 800 hp car seem like a 650 hp car just so you can negotiate terms so that you win.
It's pretty much hustling a set of races..

Look forward to seeing you there Daniel.. I have no idea what I'll be up there in since my car is slow as sh*t. I have a friend that might be running his srt4 up there so I might be with him. I'll be looking for as many 8th gens as I can possibly find.

Left early (2ish) and only ran once (out of 2). Didn't see ONE 06 Si.... but 3 05 and earlier Si's. Infact, the one I raced was an earlier model.

As I was leaving, the announcer says "And folks, I'd like to thank all the drives that have come out today, a total of 550 drivers!"... and right then I knew I was leaving at a good time. Because we just took our "lunch" break at 12:30 (after all car's had pulled thier first runs), and now for the second run. We're going sequentially. And seeings how it took a good hour to run through 1-40.. I figured me bieng 359.. that I'd be there for a while.

It was my first drag run. Had a blast. Originaly I was talking to an owner of an 06 tC. He said he had an AEM CAI an Axe-back and... oh yeah, 4-2-1 headers, can't remember which brand. Which he said Dyno'd at 174 to the wheels? Dunno much about dyno'ing so I took his word for it. He asked me what I modded and I proudly said "A K&N Filter Biatch!". He says "So do you mind if we pair up?". Of course why not. He's in my class range I figured. "Sure, I don't mind". He said he expected me to beat him. And with a proper driver I'm sure my Si would have :) So right as we're about to pull up to the slick-pit, a dude goes over to the tC and starts wavin his hands... told him to pull off to the side. And along comes that [I'm gonna say 00ish] Si. So I spin my tires a bit to warm'em up. Pull up, I get my two ambers. He pulls up, his two ambers. I rev to about 4500.. could have been 5000.... I had my windows up so I didnt hear him rev.. And then..

LoL.

Green

We both sit there for a moment.... And we looked at eachother.1.98 second later I launch. Tires bounced about 3 times and than catches. Shift at 8200 (I think to myself, PERFECT)... Perfect shift to 2nd . Shift at 8200 for third and.......................... MISS IT Man, fuggin missed it.. so I get into third and at about 6800, the other Si is gainin on me. Get into fourth perfect, but my miss-shift has told the tail.. he passes me and takes it.

I was really excited about my second run. But...yeah, not gonna wait that long. I think I'm gonna start to activly look for places and times to drag :) It's fun... oh yeah. LoL.. and the hour drive back to Dallas sucked. Cuz goin 70 felt like I was crawlin .... TGF Cruise Control.

P.S. I need to get an 8thgen sticker damn it...

Man.. I tried to make it there so I could see you run it, but I got there a little too late. Glad to hear you had a good time though :)
A friend of mine was set to be in the top 20 with his srt4 and on his last run he blew something under the hood. Never found out what it was, but his neon is heavily modded so who knows.. I got quite a bit recorded while I was there, but was really disappointed at the end so we left at the 2nd of the 3 last races.
I rode with a friend of mine in his STi up there and there were quite a few races on the way back. I love old country highways with no traffic, that's the only time I like to street race (or be in a car that's street racing). My friend rolled up on a 98ish si and burned him.. Then a mustang.. then a 3000gt vr4.. then an 05 si. That si killed my homeboy a couple of times. I could do nothing but laugh and say "think, that si is a slug compared to an 06si with the same mods." He told me to go buy one today.

Anyways, It was kickass time and sorry I couldn't make it up there in time to see you quarter your car.. it would've been cool. About the 8thgen stickers.. I need some 8thcivic cards to put on some windows around here.. oh well.
Post up if you're gonna go run out at ennis again, or kennedale. I'd love to head out there and see an 8th run. I've got a couple of friends that run their neons and evos, I keep meaning to head up there anyways.
