Austin *CHAT*

Any Austin '06 Si owners here. I've been trying to find some support here, and so far I've had little luck. So, here's my stab at it on the forum. Please post if you live in Austin, visit Austin, go to school at UT in Austin, or just driving through. Thanks!

i live off of S Lamar behind the drafthouse. Haby red SI. I think another dude lives in the talisman off of barton springs who has the same car and everything. We should all get together sometime and roll. Austin Si Club or something.

Awesome, so there is some 06 Si owners afterall here in Austin on the board. Well, there are usually car shows on Saturday nights where people with nice cars go and just hang out and see what everyone else has. I'd love to check out your rides.

Being that there is just one of you in Austin, just the two of us should get together. I have a little confession though, I currently own an RSX Type-S, hence the name. I'm looking to get an 06 Si in the near future when my car has hit that mark where it's time to get something else. I've almost completed paying my car off, so I'm that close now.

Also, the RSX guys and I have a little bit of a group that meets up every now and then. It's more of a K-series group with mostly RSX's. There is a right hand drive Civic EK hatch with a K-series swap for example. Given the fact that any other Si is way below any of us performance wise, it makes more sense to keep the K-series group together.

We could give you and the new Si K-series owners some pointers on what works performance wise and what doesn't. What has been tried and what hasn't. Like I just put in two sets of springs on two RSX's, and 06 and an 03. We can also tell you where to find reflash, tint, etc locally. I'd think we'd learn a lot from each other, other than I want to check out your ride.

If we could put all the k-series guys together that would be sweet! In fact tonight we're getting together at the car show down south where 71 and 290 split (called the Oak Hill area). Would love to see you there. You can call me at 512-689-6953 if you're interested.

Also, there is an Austin *CHAT* on ClubRSX here:
http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread...tpost&t=400929
(you can check that out for more info)

Lastly, we also have San Antonio K-series guys come up and meet with us occasionally. Two weeks ago, one of them randomly showed.

Later.

By "any other Si" I'm assuming you mean previous model years, correct?

Man sorry i missed it, my gf wanted to go to Vicci to dance, and with me being "whipped" i complied. I will hit you up sometime this week to see if you want to get together. K series group would be alot of fun. So there are still people meeting at that Randalls or Albertson's off of 71? I haven't started modding yet, but i would like to talk it over with someone with experience with K series engines. Did you have a Gst too? I had a 97 GST drop top. Loved it. Anyways, ill PM you with my # or i'll just call. Thanks for the invite man.

Exactly! Correct. How many Civic Si's hit high 14's stock at the track? Just the current one. The rest are in the high 15's stock or worse. Oh, and if the new '06 Civic Si doesn't quite hit a high 14 stock, I'm sure someone will do it soon with the new rpm hang and hesitation fix.

No problem, on last night. It was a fun time, there was 5 of us, and we met a new K-series owner (RSX-S) and helped point him in the right direction on what to do for mods. Yeah, meets are still there at Albertson's. And, correct, I had a GST, '95 1st model year of 2nd gen, just like my RSX, 1st model year of it's own gen (or 4th gen Integra). Later.

Sept 16th Austin's RSX/K-Series Photoshoot

There was a big meet this past weekend. I wonder where you guys were. You see the '06 Si? Yup, that's all that made it.

Yeah, we invited all Hondas, but it was primarily a K-Series and admirers meet.

There was 3 Civics. The EK hatch with the carbon fiber all over has a K20 swap in it, then there's the fg2 '06 Si with the K20 (duh), and finally the 01-05 Civic Coupe (I believe that's what it is) still hoping of doing a K-swap.

A Turbo IS300 and EP3 '02 Civic Si usually meets with us as well, but they both missed it.

We also meet up weekly, but of course not everyone shows weekly. It's the big meets like that one that everyone shows. The weekly meets we get 4-7cars. It's later this evening, Saturday, for the weekly meets. We go to the car show up in Round Rock at about 5-6pm. Take I-35 North, Taylor (Hwy 79) Exit, go right at the light, and it's the old HEB on the left, can't miss it. That goes till about 8-9pm. Then, we head south to the Riverside, getto side of town (to put it nicely), meets. From there cars go in groups to different areas of secluded Highways to make passes for the fastest 1 to 2 gear pull, aka roll races. For the K-series guys, results usually end up here:
http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=384708

Hope to see you guys out there. I'll be there this evening!
