Tail of the Dragon Pics from July 29-30

If you're interested in going to the meet, post that in the main Dragon thread. E.T., Eric, and I had a great time over the weekend. Here are my pics:

Some really cool guy standing beside the sign at Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort

Rallye Red Civics at Deal's Gap

You don't want to add to the Tree of Shame at Deal's Gap :

The first Lotus Elise I've ever seen up close. It's so much more impressive in person:

Here's Dragon's Den Grille at Deal's Gap, the site of Friday's lunch. This place has awesome burgers and you really get pumped listening to the cars and motorcycles take off on the Dragon.

Tapoco Lodge, our home base. Don't worry about the Miatas. We will own the place on our weekend!

A Cabin at Tapoco

Watch your fingers!!!

Since Tapoco has a tennis court, they can also have beer!

Si's and Mean Mr. Bean (the Mini) in downtown Tellico Plains, Tennessee. I would like to thank E.T. for letting me drive the Mini while we were there. The steering on that car is incredible!!! Also, with the short vertical windshield, you have a totally different perspective of the world than we're used to.

We'll have Saturday lunch at the Bistro by the River's Cascades Riverside Grille. Here's our view while eating:

Pretty scenery from the Cherohala Skyway

Damn that's a big dam! Fontana Dam will be our starting point for the Saturday group drive.

According to Mapquest, you're only about 10 hrs away. There are others who are making drives longer than yours. So come on down!
